CHADRON – The Chadron State softball team is looking to build off its recent wins as it travels to Colorado Christian University for a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference four-game series Friday and Saturday.
The teams will play two games Friday (noon and 2 p.m.) and two games Saturday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
Colorado Christian (9-14 overall, 5-7 RMAC) lost four-straight games to Fort Lewis College last weekend. CCU sits at the No. 9 position in the RMAC standings.
The Cougars have two regular players batting above .300 led by Jessica Romine with .346 and followed by Hannah Rapoport with .311. Both players also have acquired 37 total bases.
In the circle, Mariah Bledsoe brings a 4.76 ERA and has struck out 21 this season.
Last weekend, the Eagles (10-14 overall, 7-5 RMAC) split four games with Adams State. Chadron State holds the sixth position in the most recent RMAC standings.
Katie Londo hit four of the Eagles' seven homeruns against the Grizzlies and batted .500 driving in five runs and added two singles.
