CHADRON – The Chadron State College softball team is looking to climb the RMAC standings as it travels to Colorado State University-Pueblo to for a Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference four-game series Saturday and Sunday.
The teams will play two games on Saturday (noon and 2 p.m.) and two games on Sunday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.
CSU-Pueblo (13-5 RMAC, 16-13 overall) currently leads the RMAC and swept both Regis University and Mesa State University last weekend in Grand Junction, Colo.
The ThunderWolves have seven regular batters hitting above .325. Alexa Snyder leads the team with 109 at bat appearances, 36 hits, and a .330 average. Dora Hernandez follows a close second accumulating 34 hits out of 91 plate appearances for a .374 average.
On the mound, Madison Wolfe holds a 4.06 ERA and has struck out 56 batters this season. CSU-Pueblo leads the RMAC in pitching with an overall ERA of 4.03.
Chadron State sits at the No. 7 position in the RMAC standings, but only two wins separate the Eagles from the top-ranked ThunderWolves.
The Eagles (11-7 RMAC, 14-16 overall) went 3-1 in a four-game series last weekend versus New Mexico Highlands.

Jessica Eatmon who bats .310.
Two CSC pitchers rank among the top ten for pitching in RMAC standings.
Breeze Phillips leads the ranks with a 2.12 ERA (2 wins, 1 loss) and
Kylee Polsley is No. 7 with a 3.91 ERA (8 wins, 5 losses).
Taylor Bauer has also provided strong performances for the Eagles. She is hitting .384 to take the No. 17 spot in RMAC hitting standings and ranks 36 in fielding with 73 catches.
