The Mountain Lions boast a talented offense, batting .330 as a team. Jessica Belsterling leads UCCS with a .436 batting average and Jourdan Hitchings is close behind at .405. Belsterling is also the Mountain Lions' best pitcher, posting an 11-5 record and an ERA of 3.72.
Both Hitchings and Belsterling, including shortstop Emily Jennings, were recently placed on the All-RMAC First Team.
Chadron State's
Taylor Bauer and
Kylee Polsley earned a spot on the All-RMAC team and head coach
Dr. Robert Stack was named Coach of the Year. Bauer leads CSC with a .341 average but
Katie Londo and
Courtney Lecher are also hitting over .300.
Polsley has a record of 16-6, including 14 victories within the RMAC.
This is the second trip to the RMAC postseason for the Eagles and the first since 2010. In 2010, Chadron State went 1-2 at the tournament.
