Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DURANGO, Colo. – Chadron State College women's softball team loss two games in a double-header against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foe Fort Lewis College Saturday. The Eagles fell 5-2 in the first game and 8-4 in the second. The teams play another double-header Sunday beginning at 11 a.m.
 
CSC (3-19, 3-7 RMAC) scored first and scored fast in its first game of the day. In the top of the second inning, Aspen Eubanks and Katelyn Kruger both hit solo home runs to take a 2-0 lead. The Eagles would hold a 2-1 lead until the bottom of third when the Skyhawks' Jeovanna Rios hit a 2-run home run to center field. FLC scored four runs in the inning to take its 5-2 lead. Strong defense would finish out the first game as both teams only allowed a single hit for the final four innings.
 
In the second game of the day, Fort Lewis (10-11, 8-2 RMAC) jumped out to a quick 3-0 lead, scoring on four hits. Chadron State would respond with an RBI single by Kruger to bring the lead to two, 3-1. The Skyhawks kept up the hits in the second inning, scoring four runs on four hits, highlighted by Rios' second home run of the day. CSC would score twice in fifth to bring the score to 8-3, but came up short in the seventh, only amassing one run in its comeback attempt, leaving two on base.
 
Kruger led all Eagles with three hits in five at bats and four RBIs. Second baseman Rebekah Anthony scored two runs as well as had two hits in three at bats.
 
In the circle, Tayler Hall stuck out eight batters in the first game and allowed only four earned runs. Cierra Cosslett struck out five in a little over five innings in the second game.
