Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 DURANGO, Colo. – Chadron State College women's softball team earned its fourth win of the season in a split double-header against Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference foe Fort Lewis College Sunday in Durango.
 
In the first game, back-to-back solo home runs by CSC's Zoe Humphries and Katelyn Kruger lifted the Eagles to an early 4-1 lead through three innings. Chadron State (4-20, 4-8 RMAC) put on a show, scoring six runs off of ten hits in seven innings. Kruger led the way with three hits in four at bats and two RBIs. Senior Casey Polk was a perfect two-for-two including a double, while Humphries accounted for two hits and an RBI.
 
Defensively, Tayler Hall struck out seven batters and only allowed a single earned run, a single by Jeovanna Rios out to right center in the first inning.
 
The Eagles jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the second game following a leadoff home run by Humphries, her second of the day, and a double by Courtney Lecher in the third inning. Fort Lewis (12-12, 10-4 RMAC) would hit back-to-back solo home runs to start off the fourth inning, tying the score at two apiece. Rios would come to the plate in the fifth with two runners on to smack a 3-run home run, the final scores of the day.
 
Chadron State returns to action Saturday and Sunday when it hosts Colorado Christian University. First pitch is scheduled for noon Saturday and 11 a.m. Sunday.
