The Chadron State College softball team earned two victories during its weekend series at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs Saturday and Sunday.
 
The Eagles, now 8-24 overall and 8-12 in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference, hit .354 as a team and scored 30 runs. They won by scores of 11-3 and 6-2 and fell 11-10 and 14-11.
 
CSC will host conference leading Regis University Friday and Saturday. First pitch is scheduled for noon Friday and 11 a.m. Saturday. The Rangers are 21-9 overall and 16-3 in the RMAC.
 
Six regular sluggers boast batting averages over .300. Nicole Hull leads Regis with an average of .412 and Carlie Sexton is hitting .396 and has driven in 32 runs. Pitcher Nicole Aviles has a 13-4 record in the circle and Hull isn't far behind with a record of 8-5. In 195 innings, the two have combined to strike out 143 batters, while walking 83.
 
The Eagles' bats came alive last weekend in Colorado Springs. Taylor Bauer and Katelyn Kruger both hit over .500 and CSC blasted 14 home runs as a team. In all, the Eagles had 45 hits and 20 of them went for extra bases. Kruger hit four home runs and Bauer and Zoe Humphries each added three. Eleven different players drove in at least two runs and Humphries had a team-high six.
 
In the circle, Tayler Hall went 2-1 and struck out 20 batters in just under 16 innings.
