CHADRON – The Chadron State College softball team will close out its season with three home contests. The Eagles will host a double header with the University of Nebraska Kearney Tuesday at 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. CSC will host a triangular Saturday and Sunday with Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference leading Metro State University and second-place Colorado Mesa University. Chadron State will play at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. both days.

The Eagles (13-31, 13-19 RMAC) are currently 11
th in the conference with four teams battling for the last spot in the RMAC tournament. The Eagles are two games back from the University of Colorado Colorado Springs, who sits in the final position currently.

Shortstop
Courtney Lecher leads the Eagles with a .369 batting average. Lecher also leads the team with 55 hits and 35 runs.
Casey Polk has a team-high 30 RBIs, while
Zoe Humphries and
Katelyn Kruger are tied for sixth in the conference with nine home runs each.

The Lopers (15-26) are led by Kate Ruwe who is hitting .403 for the season. In the circle, Cassie Roessing has a 3.57 ERA and 13 wins for UNK.

MSU Denver (32-10, 23-5 RMAC) has two student-athletes hitting over .400 for the season. Lani Redmond leads the way with a .444 batting average, while Mary Towner hits .412 and has a team-high 46 RBIs.

Kenzie Mattey leads the Roadrunners with an ERA of 2.33 and 11 wins. Also for MSU, Cassidy Smith has a 3.02 ERA and a team-high 14 wins.

Last year's RMAC champions Colorado Mesa University (32-17, 28-7 RMAC) are led by Makayla Kovac who is hitting .414 and has 57 RBIs and a conference-leading 13 home runs.
