ALAMOSA, Colo. -- January 29, 2016 -- The Chadron State College men (6-12, 4-10 RMAC) were good for 50 second-half points, but it wasn't enough to overcome their 19-point halftime deficit as Adams State University (9-10, 8-6 RMAC) prevailed 94-78 on a season-high 60.0% shooting from the field.
Junior guard
Warren Gordon led the team tonight with 18 points. His three assists were a team high as well.
Senior center
Jay Feltson contributed six points and nine rebounds. Eight of his boards were on the offensive glass.
Adams State's Shakir Smith finished with 28 points and three assists. Kendyl Grover went for 21 points and nine boards.
CSC again won the battle of the boards, 44 to 32, but their 4-of-21 accuracy from long range was another liability.
Another date with destiny looms tomorrow night, as CSC visits Fort Lewis College. The Skyhawks still remain in sole possession of first place as they defeated Regis 92-80 in Durango tonight.
