STURGIS, S.D. -- The Chadron State cross country team competed at the Gage McSpadden Memorial in Sturgis, South Dakota yesterday, with the women finishing third and the men fourth.

South Dakota Mines won the women's race and Black Hills State finished in second. The Eagles defeated MSU-Billings. For the men, Black Hills State won the team title, followed by South Dakota Mines, MSU-Billings and CSC.

Individuals who led the men's team last week did not compete yesterday.

Alissa Wieman, a junior form Box Elder, South Dakota, had the best finish for the women's team, placing 12
th with a time of 16:27:1 in the 4k race.

Katelyn Beshara, a freshman from Rapid City, South Dakota, ran her race in 16:52:7, placing 16
th.
Â
Tukker Romey and
Zelma Rudd finished in 20
th and 21
st place, respectively. Romey, a junior from Gering, Nebraska, finished in 17:04:6 while Rudd, a freshman from Cody, Wyoming, crossed the finish line in 17:05:5.

Kayla Jordan, a freshman from Clark, South Dakota, finishing in 17:36:7.

Hunter Lund, a freshman from Scottsbluff, Nebraska, finished in 40

nd, respectively.

Adam Beard. Johns, a freshman form Gordon, Nebraska, and
Adam Beard, a freshman from Berthoud, Colorado, both finished at 22:32.
