CHADRON, Neb. -- Lauren Zimmerman has been selected as a Second Team All-South Central Region selection at third base, the NCAA Division II Conference Commissioner's Association (D2CCA) announced on Monday.
 
Zimmerman, a junior from Reno, Nevada, started all 50 games for the Eagles this season at third base. At the position, she finished the year with 108 assists and a fielding percentage of .899.
 
Offensively, Zimmerman was the Eagle's leader in multiple categories. She led the team with a batting average of .363 and had a time high of 57 hits. She recorded 40 total RBIs, ranking her second on CSC.
 
Myah Arrieta, a junior from Colorado Mesa and the RMAC Player of the Year, was also named the region player of the year. Arrieta set the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference records in both home runs (28) and runs scored (84). She leads the nation in slugging percentage and total bases.
