COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – After the second of two back-to-back tournament titles, Chadron State women's wrestling 103-pound senior
Brianna Vollendroff has been named the RMAC Women's Wrestler of the Week.
Vollendroff, who hails from Oroville, California, won the Bob Smith Fort Hays Open in style last Saturday (December 6), going 4-0 in the bracket.
The senior recorded a 10-0 tech fall first-round victory over Gracie Acosta of Schreiner, then racked a 12-1 tech fall against Tarleton State's Ollie Weiland. Vollendroff sealed the title with two pins, needing only 1:33 to beat Fort Hays State's Jaidyn Alvarado in the semis and 3:52 to pin Schreiner's Jackelyn Sanchez in the final.
Vollendroff, ranked No. 11 in The Open Mat's national 103-pound rankings, has now won her last two competitions after previously winning the Minot State Open. From November 17-23, Vollendroff went 5-0 with three dual wins (two forfeits and a pin) and then pinned two opponents to win the 103-pound bracket, making her 10-0 over the past three weeks.
It is Vollendroff's first career RMAC Women's Wrestler of the Week award. She becomes the second Eagle to win this season after
Desza Munson won on the week of November 18. Chadron State has won two of the four Women's Wrestler of the Week awards given out in 2025-26 and is the only institution so far with multiple wins.
The Eagles have their final competition before Christmas this Sunday, December 14 with the North Central Open in Naperville, Illinois.
