Lopez shared the honor with Simon Fraser's Agnia Krakovska. Simon Fraser's Liv Wieber was voted as the RMAC Women's Wrestler of the Year while for the third consecutive year, Simon Fraser head coach Justin Abdou is the Coach of the Year.
Lopez made a strong impact in her redshirt-freshman season, compiling a 21-14 record and securing a fourth-place finish at the 2026 RMAC Championships at 117 pounds.
The league's five head women's wrestling coaches nominated and voted for the RMAC Women's Wrestling Major Awards, with coaches unable to vote for their own wrestlers.

All five RMAC women's wrestling sponsoring institutions are represented across the 20 spots on the league's First and Second Team All-RMAC rosters. Simon Fraser paced the conference with nine total selections, followed by Colorado Mesa with five. Adams State placed three honorees, Chadron State earned two spots, while Texas Woman's claimed one roster spot.
