Two CSC cowboys place high in dogging

CHEYENNE -- Two Chadron State College cowboys placed high in steer wrestling at the rodeo hosted by Laramie County Community College in Cheyenne over the weekend.

Senior Tate Petrak of Martin, S.D., was second with times of 8.6 and 9.9 seconds and junior Carson Good of Long Valley, S.D., was third in 8.4 and 10.1 seconds.

The steer wrestling was won by Jhett Murphy of LCCC in 7.6 and 7.4 seconds. 

Another Chadron State cowboy, Tanner McInerney of Hulett, Wyo., joined with Caden Camp of Gillette College to finish fourth in team roping.  Their times were 9.9 and 12.5 seconds.

Two CSC cowgirls also placed. Freshman Shailey McAbee of Hyannis was fifth in barrel racing in 18.33 and 18.41 seconds and senior Quincy Segelke of Brush, Colo., and Rozet, Wyo., was sixth in goat tying in 10.4 and 10.1 seconds.

Central Wyoming College at Riverton will host this weekend's rodeo in the Central Rocky Mountain Region.
