CHADRON, Neb. – Five members of the Chadron State women's golf program earned an impressive academic distinction as they were named Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) Scholar All-Americans.
Senior Aubree Heinsma, a two-time RMAC Summit Award winner as the conference championships qualifier with the highest GPA, headlines the honoree list with her fourth consecutive Scholar All-American honor.
Sophomores Klara Kleinig and Allison Sanger repeated as WGCA Scholar All-Americans while freshmen Macy Kleve and Lauren Knapp earned their initial honors after their first seasons of collegiate competition.
To be selected to the All-American Scholar Team, a student-athlete must have an overall cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher, be an amateur and on the team's roster through the conclusion of the team's season and have played in 50 percent of the college's regularly scheduled competitive rounds during the year nominated through the team's conference championship.
"The criteria for selection to the All-American Scholar Team are some of the most stringent in all of college athletics and continue to demonstrate the high-level academic achievements of our players," the WGCA said in a press release.
