Chadron State College Athletic Hall of Fame
Originally from Holdrege, Ide was a three-year starter at defensive tackle who participated in 110 tackles, including 16 quarterback sacks, and was a team captain as a senior.Â
He was First-Team All-RMAC and All-Nebraska and Second-Team All-Region as both a junior and a senior. A model student, Ide graduated with a 3.9 grade point average, was First-Team All-RMAC Academic twice, and was Second-Team Academic All-American as a senior. In addition, he threw the shot put and the hammer for the Eagles' track and field team.Â
Ide's wife, Amber, also a CSC graduate, is a dentist in Cozad, where the couple and their three children live. Aaron was a range management major at CSC and has worked for the Nebraska Department of Agriculture for the past eight years.Â
