Chadron State College Athletic Hall of Fame
Emanuel was a three-year starter at offensive tackle for the Eagles. He earned all-conference honors twice and received all-district honors as a senior in 1974. He was the first of three brothers from Dodge, Neb., to play football for the Eagles. Kevin, who also played baseball, and Chad were inducted into the Hall of Fame in 1994. Gene had been invited to join the Hall of Fame that year, but was living in Tennessee at the time and couldn’t attend the ceremonies. In 1995, he and his family moved to Monticello, Minn., where they still reside. He has been in school and commercial bus sales and management since 1984.
