Misty Gill-Leslie was an outstanding middle hitter/blocker for the Eagles’ volleyball team in the mid-1990s.
The Eagles won 22 matches her sophomore year and 23 each of the next two seasons. Her .267 career hitting percentage is one of the best in CSC annals. As a senior in 1995, she was placed on the RMAC second-team and was the second-team middle blocker on the academic team selected from District 7, which includes schools in nine states.
In addition, she was Chadron State’s Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year in 1995-96 and graduated with a 3.91 grade point average in pre-law.
A native of Rawlins, Wyo., she is the assistant city attorney in Surprise, Ariz.
