Chadron State College Athletics

Gamble competed at Chadron State for only one year - 2011 - as a graduate student and certainly made it count.

He initially set the Division II heptathlon record of 5,456 points while winning the gold medal at the National Indoor Meet. Two months later, he was the silver medalist in the decathlon with 7,177 points at the National Outdoor Meet. Both point totals remain Chadron State records.

Following his own exceptional athletic success, Gamble has been an outstanding coach. He led the Eagles' track and field program 2014-17, and his athletes won six national championships as well as the RMAC women's outdoor team championship in 2017. He was also the head coach at Colorado Mesa for eight years and is now an assistant at the University of Idaho.
