At 6-5, 285 pounds Layne Sievers was one of the biggest and also one of the Eagles’ best offensive linemen. The Eagles averaged 458 yards his senior year. He was first-team all-RMAC and Nebraska NCAA Division II as both a junior and a senior. He also was a West Region selection both years and was an All-American as a senior.  He also received the Don Beebe Inspirational Player Award. Barry, Haldeman and Sievers were named to the Eagles’ All-Century Football Team in 2014. Sievers and his family raise cattle near his hometown of Randolph, Neb.
